Guidelines for Ritual Competition 2022
1. Daughters that are eligible to compete must be a member of a Bethel and have not reached the age of 20 or become a Majority Member. (Officers of a Bethel, installed prior to their 20th birthday, may participate)
2. Daughters may compete in any Category for competition as long as Guideline #3 is met.
3. Daughters competing in any of the line officer stations must have been installed into that station prior to competition or be a PHQ.
4. Each Daughter may compete in two (2) categories.
5. If you received a first place in a particular station in recent years, please choose another category in which to compete.
6. Competition will take place over Zoom. You will be assigned a time to log in to the Virtual Waiting Room until the judges are ready for you and then you will get the link for your competition.
7. In the frame we must be able to see from head to waistline while standing. Although all floorwork will need to be eliminated you should still do any hand gestures required by the ritual (i.e. attitude of prayer, gesture to dove etc.). Please start sitting in a chair and stand to signify you are starting and sit when you are complete. Camera does not need to pan to keep you in the frame.
8. Please make sure you are able to be heard and in focus. Your presentation (i.e. are you loud enough, do you tell the story with inflection etc.) will still be judged.
9. Please wear appropriate Business Casual clothing.

- Elevator speeches are an invitation to be a part of your organization, not just a solicitation. Explain what you do, why it’s important, and how someone’s involvement is an opportunity to be part of a larger vision. How effective are your current programs? Do you have any impact stories that are amazing? How can someone get involved right now? What are you preparing to accomplish in the future?
- We’d like you to write an elevator speech about Job’s Daughters. Memorize it and present it during ritual competition. Make sure you get it to Mom Scharf before the Ritual Comp deadline.
